Nokia 5800 Mobile Phone Review

This latest addition to Nokia’s sizzling range of classy phones will simply blow your mind away! Imagine this: a smooth touch screen phone that combines class, functionality and entertainment, cool, huh? The Nokia 5800 is the most well-balanced in the market at the moment and has features that no phone can rival.

Design
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a fabulously designed 3G phone with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Edge and GPRS support. It’s a light device at 109g and has a narrow width of 51.7mm that enables the user to comfortably use it with one hand. It has a height of 111mm and a depth of 15.5mm. Its exceptional touch screen displays a higher resolution 360 by 640 in 16 million different colors. The screen’s aspect ratio is also wider than that of most phones at 16:9. This gives video playback and recording a VGA quality. Most devices have a 4:3 ratio. It’s principally black but with a highlight round the sides.

The Nokia 5800 is the first S60 touch enabled 5th edition device, not just in the Nokia range but in all other phone brands. Unlike the iPhone which uses capacitive touchscreens this phone uses a resistive touchscreen, meaning it has a variety of input methods, such as plectrum, UI control, stylus, finger touch and even wearing gloves. Capacitive touchscreens on the other hand use finger control only.

Endless music
The Nokia XpressMusic is literally a mobile music store. It features new, groundbreaking technology that allows unlimited access to the Nokia Music Store for an entire year at no cost! It has all the music essentials including graphic equalizers, powerful speakers, easy synchronization and an 8GB memory. Actually, its built-in surround speakers are the coolest and most powerful found on any phone in the market. What’s more, it enables the user to share and transfer music and video content. It has a media bar, a drop down menu that offers a direct link to the web and has flash support thereby enabling the user to browse the entire Internet, quite a feat using a phone.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has a talk time of 9 hours when fully charged. It uses a1320 mAh battery. Even with heavy, non-stop usage, you can enjoy up to 5 hours of service.

Camera
The Nokia 5800 features a 3.2 mega pixel camera and Carl Zeiss lens which enables one to record and share both still pictures and videos on various social networks such as Facebook, Flickr and Share.

If nothing else will, then the very fair price it’s going for should make you dash for one. No matter where you are in the world and what language you speak, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic surely includes yours in the 90 languages it supports.
